VICE PRESIDENT / SECRETARY /
TREASURER Since 1982,
Steven L. Everson has served as Vice President,
Secretary/Treasurer for The Schuck Corporation and its
affiliates. Steve is responsible for transaction
closings, project financing, loan closings, lender
relationships, indentifying asset management
opportunities with financial institutions, coordination
of outside legal counsel, estate planning, and entity
formations. He assists in project management,
development management, LLC, partnership, corporate and
shareholder tax planning and tax compliance, strategic
financial planning, cash flow forecasting, financial
reporting, acquisitions, metro district activities, HOA/POA
activities, asset management for others, and review of
project draws.
Prior to joining The Schuck Corporation, Steve was a
Senior Tax Accountant with Deloitte & Touche where he
specialized in tax planning and compliance for
partnerships, individuals and corporations, with heavy
emphasis on real estate tax research and transaction
structuring. During his long history with The Shuck
Corporation, Steve has also taught an Introduction to
Real Estate course at the University of Colorado
Springs.
Steve graduated from West Virginia University with a
Mathematics degree, Magna Cum Laude, and election to Phi
Beta Kappa, and served as a computer systems operations
officer for NORAD while in the Air Force. After four
years of Air Force duty, Steve graduated from
Northwestern University School of Law. He is a licensed
attorney and an inactive CPA.
Steve is a very civic-minded individual and donates a
good portion of his time to volunteer programs for the
Pikes Peak Foundation for Mental Health (former Chairman
of the Board of Directors), Pikes Peak Mental Health
Center Systems, Inc. (former Chairman and Treasurer of
the Board of Directors), Pikes Peak Behavioral Health
Group (former Treasurer of the Board of Directors),
Secretary/Treasurer for Parents Challenge,
Secretary/Treasurer for the Schuck Foundation, Chairman
of the Board of Directors of Colorado Springs Christian
Schools, Secretary/Treasurer of CSCS Lions Foundation,
Silver Key Senior Services Board of Directors, and is a
former member of the Board of Directors for the Boys and
Girls Club - Pikes Peak Region. Steve was honored as the
1999 and 2002 Volunteer of te Year by the Pikes Peak
Mental Health Center. He was also selected as the
outstanding Board Member for 2002 by Pikes Peak Mental
Health Center.
Steve's volunteer experience includes Special Olympics,
teaching Junior Achievement classes and coaching youth
sports teams for the YMCA, Colorado Springs Parks and
Recreation and Colorado Springs Christian Schools. |
